Recently, meeting of theater workers of young audiences of Asian countries was held in the capital of Japan. It was attended by 38 representatives from 17 countries.

The event, held within the framework of the Asia International Festival of Performing Arts for Children and Young Audiences, provided an opportunity for the exchange of experience in organizing and improving the work of theaters designed for children and youth.

– This meeting was held with assistance of the International Theaters Association for Children and Youth (ASSITEZH), which unites the actors of theater and art of many countries of the world, – says Sardor Gaziyev, assistant director of the State Theater of Young Spectator of Uzbekistan. – We talked in detail about the attention of the state to theaters of Uzbekistan, got acquainted with performances of young spectators of South Korea, Japan, China, Georgia, India. It is gratifying that in the repertoires of our theaters there is a place for such themes as national and universal values, which contributes to patriotic and aesthetic education of the younger generation.

The meeting in Tokyo brought success to the State Theater of Young Spectator of Uzbekistan – it got the right to participate in international events as a representative of ASSITEZH in Uzbekistan.

At the meeting, proposal on conducting a meeting of theaters of young spectators of Asian countries in Tashkent in 2019 was approved.
