How the winter season will pass depends on the extent of preparations for the winter. Like in the rest of the country, specific measures are being taken in Farghona Region to prepare branches of the economy and the social sphere for uninterrupted work in the autumn-winter period of 2016-2017. In towns and districts of the region, working groups have been set up, and preparations for the winter season are under strict supervision.

Preparations are in full swing for the autumn-winter season in Quvasoy, too.

“At a recent conference with the participation of the heads of organizations, enterprises, relevant departments and the chairmen of neighbourhood citizens’ gatherings, we seriously analysed shortcomings of the last autumn-winter season, and we mapped out tasks for the immediate future. The necessary specific measures are being taken in all the neighbourhoods, organizations and enterprises now to prepare for the autumn-winter season,” says the hokim (mayor) of the town of Quvasoy, Adhamjon Ziyovuddinov.

Special attention is being paid to sites of the social sphere. Preparatory work is nearing completion at 29 general education schools, 14 pre-school day care establishments, 4 vocational colleges, the central polyclinic and 14 medical establishments.

Large-scale measures being taken to conduct the autumn-winter season’s work in a coordinated manner are aimed at further raising the local population’s living standards.

Thorough preparations for the winter are also under way at 11 private housing owners’ associations in the town. Pre-season repairs are being made at 143 multi-storey buildings. More than 500 million soms are channelled for this purpose.

The Fayzli Quvasoy Soguniy, Quvasoy Obod Kelajagi, Ozoda and other private housing owners’ associations are providing exemplary services for the local population. The pace of preparing multi-storey buildings for the autumn-winter season is under public control. A public commission made up of representatives of responsible departments is evaluating the quality of work that has been carried out on the basis of acts.

The measures being carried out help to eliminate existing shortcomings, to raise the quality of services being provided for the population and to ensure that the autumn-winter seasonal work is properly carried out.
