On 21-23 September, Kokand hosted the Second International Festival of Handicrafts. The winners were awarded as part of the festival’s closing ceremony, attended by more than 260 skilled artisans from more than 70 countries.
Hokim of Fergana region Khayrullo Bozorov, President of the World Crafts Council-Asia Pacific Region (WCC-APR) Saad Al-Qaddumi, Chairman of the Hunarmand Association Ulugbek Abdullayev and Hokim of Kokand city Marufjon Usmonov solemnly presented diplomas and gifts to the festival participants who won in the following categories:

“Best artisan”:
1st place: Gulnora Odilova (Uzbekistan);
2nd place: Anahita Alavi (Iran);
3rd place: Ravshan Norkhodjayev (Uzbekistan).
“The youngest artisan”:
1st place: Abdullo Mirjamolov (Uzbekistan);
2nd place: Abdulloh Mirzaahmedov (Uzbekistan);
3rd place: Rosid Ahmadi Ros (Indonesia).
“Best representative of a craft school”:
1st place: Khasan Umarov (Uzbekistan);
2nd place: Mavluda Khamdamova (Uzbekistan);
3rd place: Nurzad Jenbek kizi (Kyrgyzstan).
“Successor to the Ancient Dynasty”:
1st place: Bakhshillo Jumayev (Uzbekistan);
2nd place: Vohid Karimov (Uzbekistan);
3rd place: Maryamkhon Ergaziyeva (Uzbekistan).
“Revival of Ancient Art”;
1st place: Abdulla Nauruzbaev (Kazakhstan);
2nd place: Zulfiya Masharipova (Uzbekistan);
3rd place: Molima Pihigia (New Zealand).



Several participants were awarded memorable diplomas and prizes in various categories.
The closing ceremony of the Second International Festival of Handicrafts ended with a splendid concert program.
