The Agency for Youth Affairs hosted an event dedicated to awarding the winners of the republican stage of the contest “Eng ulug’, eng aziz” (The greatest, the dearest), dedicated to the 32nd Anniversary of the Independence of Uzbekistan.
The contest was organized jointly by the Union of Journalists of Uzbekistan, the Agency for Information and Mass Communications, the Writers Union, the Cinematography Agency, the National Media Association of Uzbekistan, the Republican Creative Union “Tasviriy Oyina”, the Academy of Arts, the Uzbekistan National News Agency – UzA, the National Television and Radio Company.
Acting Chairman of the Union of Journalists of Uzbekistan Kholmurod Salimov, First Deputy Director of the Agency for Information and Mass Communications Dilshod Saidjanov, Director General of Uzbekistan National News Agency – UzA Abdusaid Kuchimov, Deputy Chairman of the Union of Writers Gayrat Majid and others noted that such competitions encourage creative workers to work with more responsibility.
This year, creative works were accepted for the competition in seven categories: “Journalistic works of employees of the print media”, “Materials of employees of television and radio”, “Internet journalism”, “Journalistic books on non-fiction topics”, “Fiction works of writers and poets”, “Works of fine art, photographic works and design works”, “Works of cinema art”.
In general, about 1,700 creative works from 345 contestants were received at the republican stage of the competition, which was based on the noble idea “In the name of a new life, in the name of New Uzbekistan!”.
The winners were awarded at the event, and a concert program was presented with the participation of art masters.
