The waste recycling system in Uzbekistan improves

Heads of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Ecology and Environmental Protection and the Korea Environmental Industry and Technology Institute KEITI have met in Tashkent.

The parties discussed issues of further strengthening cooperation within the framework of the project “Development of a master plan to improve the implementation of the waste management system in the Republic of Uzbekistan”.

Deputy Chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Ecology and Environmental Protection Islombek Bakijonov spoke about the importance of new investment and grant projects aimed at improving the waste management system at the central landfill in Jizzakh and Zaamin district to continue mutually beneficial cooperation at a new stage.

The KEITI delegation will visit the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Hokimiyat of Jizzakh region, the central landfill of Jizzakh and Zaamin district to finalize the concept of future joint projects.
