The Minister for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications of Uzbekistan Sherzod Shermatov met with EPAM Systems leadership.

Issues of developing cooperation with this company, in particular, simplification of visa procedures for IT Park residents, organization of important events with the participation of large companies were considered at the event.

The main attention is paid to the introduction of digital technologies in the country. IT services market is also developing rapidly, as well as the need for qualified personnel in this area is growing.

One of the world's largest software development and IT consulting companies, a resident of IT PARK – EPAM Systems, as part of its activities, carry out certain work on training specialists.

The company operates in more than 30 countries, has offices in Russia, Belarus, Ukraine and Kazakhstan. The company employs over 43 thousand people. The branch, established in Uzbekistan in 2019, employs more than 300 specialists.

The company cooperates with several local educational institutions specializing in training IT specialists, in particular, Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi. EPAM laboratories have been established at Amity University in Tashkent. This year, the company has trained about 100 IT specialists.
