Uzbekistan's national team successfully performed at the World Judo Juniors Championships, in Ecuador.

According to the results of uncompromising competitions, Uzbekistan’s athletes with gold, silver, and two bronze medals took fifth place among 9 countries. Jakhongir Mamatrakhimov and Azizbek Ortikov won gold and silver medals.  Iriskhon Kurbanbayeva and Islombek Rovshankulov won bronze medals. The teams of Japan, Türkiye and France are among the strongest.
