Courageous draughts players of Uzbekistan achieved success at the World Draughts Championship among visually impaired and blind athletes in Antalya, Türkiye.

In the championship, attended by about 200 draughts players from 10 countries, the Uzbekistan team won 5 gold, 6 silver, and 3 bronze medals and took 1st place in the team competition.

The Uzbekistan team, which won 14 medals at the World Championship, was solemnly welcomed at Tashkent International Airport named after Islam Karimov. The ceremony was attended by officials from the Ministry of Sports, the Uzbekistan Draughts Federation, and public representatives.
