The Embassy of Uzbekistan, in cooperation with the Cultural Sending Promotion Committee, organized a World Music concert, in Tokyo.

The creative project “History of the construction of the State Academic Grand Theater named after Alisher Navoi” was presented.

In the project, to the sounds of Japanese instruments “koto” and “orin”, the authors talk about the construction of the State Academic Grand Theater named after Alisher Navoi by Japanese soldiers brought to Uzbekistan after World War II, as well as the care shown to them by the Uzbek people despite the difficult socio-economic conditions that time.

One of the participants in this project, Japanese performer (koto) Akemi Tatemichi noted that the Uzbek-Japanese creative project, which was shown for the first time, made a warm impression on the audience. They began to search for various information about Uzbekistan on the Internet already during the event.
