Hokim of Fergana region Khayrullo Bozorov met with the leadership of Japanese companies Sanctuary and DS Drone School Osaka.
The parties discussed issues of introducing a system of smart agriculture in Fergana region, caring for crops and setting up work on their processing with chemical fertilizers, taking photographs, and using drones. Views were exchanged on the project of the Japanese restaurant Kobe, which will be implemented in an eco-town in Fergana at the expense of the company’s investments.
The Japanese side shared their plans on collecting data from clusters and farms and monitoring crop care in the fields using drones. Japanese drones with a payload capacity of up to 30 kilograms can handle crops with fertilizers.
At the initial stage, the services will be provided free of charge, and then the work will be organized based on the contracts with clusters. To implement this system in the region, it is planned to organize a school for training specialists in drones specializing in agriculture.
