On May 26-28, 2022, the U.S. delegation led by the State Department’s Special Representative for Afghanistan Thomas West will visit Uzbekistan, Uzbekistan MFA reports.

The U.S. delegation will hold talks with officials of Uzbekistan, including Acting Foreign Minister Vladimir Norov and Special Representative of the President of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan Ismatulla Irgashev.

At the meetings, it is planned to exchange views on the current situation in Afghanistan, as well as on the provision of humanitarian assistance to this country.
