The improvement of the Basic Law to ensure the development of New Uzbekistan is significant, first of all, by focusing on the exaltation of human value, strengthening the protection of people’s rights.
At the initiative of the Head of state, the issue of improving the current Constitution, introducing additions and amendments to it, taking into account the requirements of the current time, was put forward. This initiative was supported by the people, proposals to update the current Constitution were received not only from ordinary citizens, but also from scientists, political scientists, in general, from the general public. The proposals were studied by experts, members of the Constitutional Commission.
Each article in the draft Constitutional law “On the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan” was improved taking into account the opinions of the general public. As a priority direction in the project, attention is paid to such issues as a person, his value, life, protection of his freedoms, rights and interests.
In recent years, comprehensive social support for the population has become the main goal of Uzbekistan's policy. To achieve this goal, the Head of state proposed to consolidate the idea of “Uzbekistan – a social state” in the draft law as the second main direction. This will become another example of the attention paid to human values in Uzbekistan.
As a citizen of this country, I fully support the draft Constitutional law, which embodies such norms as nationality, the exaltation of human values, the protection of the rights and interests of citizens, in a word, norms aimed at ensuring a bright future for the people and the country. At the same time, the norms outlined in the draft fully correspond to the program goals and objectives of our party, and are also particularly significant because special attention is paid to the issues of social protection of people.
The updated Constitution is our common basic document. And all compatriots will support the draft Constitutional law.
