The Union of Writers of Turkic States has been established on the initiative of TURKSOY.

The agreement on the creation of the union was signed by the chairmen of the Union of Writers of Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Türkiye and Turkmenistan.

Ulugbek Esdaulet, Chairman of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan, was approved for the post of Chairman of the Union of Writers of Turkic States.
