A memorandum was signed between the Director of the Uffizi Gallery Eike Schmidt and the Executive Director of the Art and Culture Development Foundation of the Republic of Uzbekistan Gayane Umerova on holding an exhibition in Florence in 2024.

The Art and Culture Development Foundation will present an exhibition of works of art from the collection of the State Museum of Arts of the Republic of Karakalpakstan named after I.V. Savitsky.

The Uffizi Gallery delegation visited several state museums and institutions in Uzbekistan’s Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara and Nukus.
