In accordance with the agenda, the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Tourism” is being revised in a new edition.

Chairman of the Senate Committee on International Relations, Foreign Economic Relations, Foreign Investments and Tourism Alisher Kurmanov delivered a speech on this issue.

The document is developed to create legal and institutional framework for streamlining tourism activities by the state, facilitating the presentation of national tourism products in the domestic and global markets, creating favorable conditions for development of the tourism industry.

The law defines the main directions of the state policy in this area. In particular, it is the creation of attractive conditions for attracting investment in the field, development of public-private partnership, creation of new jobs, support and stimulation of introduction of innovative, information and communication technologies, support for development of tourism zones and clusters.

The norms of the law reflect the priority of the rights, freedoms, legitimate interests and protection of security of subjects of the tourism sphere. The principles of sustainable development of tourism and creation of favorable conditions for this, state support for entrepreneurship, development of competition, ensuring publicity and openness in this direction are also defined.
