Uzbekistan currently hosts the unique and traditional International Festival of Fine and Applied Arts. This year, the festival is dedicated to the Year of Support for Youth and Business, making it a one-of-a-kind event. The festival is a collaborative effort between the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan, several ministries, and agencies.
This large-scale project began with laying flowers at the monument to Kamoliddin Bekhzod. The festival’s grand opening took place in the Central Exhibition Hall.
The festival offers a diverse range of events and activities. Visitors can explore exhibitions featuring selected works of renowned foreign and local artists, participate in masterclasses, attend cultural and enlightenment events, and engage in international scientific conferences. The festival also showcases creative projects by young artists from various educational institutions.
The festival’s first event was held at Tashkent State Pedagogical University named after Nizami. The exhibition “Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow” was prepared by the Department of Fine Arts of the Faculty of Professional Education.
On the first day of the festival, works by South Korean artists were exhibited, as were historical costumes made by students of Keimyung University. The French Embassy in Uzbekistan also organized an exhibition of comics by Jean-Marc Yankovic and Christophe Blain.
