Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan – Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade S. Umurzakov received the Minister of Industry and Construction Production of Turkmenistan B. Annamamedov.

The parties exchanged views on the current issues of bilateral cooperation and noted the increase in economic partnership indicators.

Over the past 4 years, the trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan has increased five times, and in 2021 – by 65 percent. Contracts signed following the high-level events held in September 2021 are being implemented.

The ministers discussed the measures to enhance industrial cooperation with the involvement of production facilities located in the regions of the two countries and the creation of a chain with full value-added, as well as proposals to expand cooperation in new promising areas of industry. Mechanisms for strengthening interregional cooperation were considered.

The parties agreed to strengthen the coordination activities of the administrations of the regions of the two countries to develop new projects and trade agreements on industrial cooperation. 

The sides agreed on constructive cooperation in all spheres.
