President Shavkat Mirziyoyev chairs a videoconference on the urgent tasks of introducing a new system of working with youth.

As it was noted at the meeting, the system of hiring youth will be radically revised.

More than 6.5 thousand out of 11 thousand young people, who graduated 11 universities last year, are not employed. Also, 3 thousand students who studied based on a grant could not get a job. Last year, 143 thousand young people graduated from colleges and technical schools, of which 30 thousand did not find a job.

Now each minister will personally mark the qualification requirements for professions in his industry, while 70 percent of professions should require secondary special education, and 30 percent – higher education.

The ministries will not only submit applications to universities, colleges and technical schools for the necessary specialists, but also participate in the development of their curricula.

It is envisaged that each minister and hokim of the region will develop their own youth employment program at the beginning of the year, present it to the population and report to the public at the end of the year.
