Uzbekistan took first place in the number of awards at the 32nd International Film Forum “Golden Knight” in Grozny.

According to the Uzbekistan Cinematography Agency, the Chairman of the jury, the film festival was attended by representatives from 20 countries. Students of the VGIK branch in Tashkent presented four films in the competition program: debut works, short films, and full-length films. The movie “Man”, “Walking into a Mirage” and “Scotch” were awarded special prizes. In addition, “Scotch” was also awarded a bronze diploma as the best debut film.

President of the Nika Film Academy Andrei Konchalovsky noted that such success speaks of a new wave of Uzbek cinema.
