The State Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan, consisting of 86 musicians, gave an impressive concert as part of the 26th International Festival of Dance and Music in Bangkok. This event was historic, as the orchestra took part in the festival for the first time, which has been held since 1999.
The performance, which took place at the Thailand Cultural Centre, gathered about 2,000 spectators, including officials from the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Culture, the Fine Arts Department of Thailand, and diplomats and media representatives. The orchestra, led by conductor Kamoliddin Urinboyev, received a standing ovation.
In addition, musicians from Uzbekistan held a masterclass for Thailand youth, including performers with disabilities, and performed at a cultural event at the Consulate General of the Republic in Bangkok.
A special book album dedicated to the State Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan was published, and an agreement was reached to ensure its future participation in the international festival.
