At the exhibition “The Splendours of Uzbekistan’s Oases. At the Crossroads of Caravan Routes” in the Louvre, visitors can become acquainted with some of the wealth of the so-called Dalverzin treasure, or the Dalverzintepa Golden Treasure of the 1st century AD.

During the excavations of the house of a wealthy citizen of the ancient settlement of Dalverzintepa in 1972, treasures with a total weight of more than 35 kg were found, including 115 gold items, including a necklace with precious stones, a pectoral with a gem depicting Hercules, bracelets, earrings, long rectangular ingots with an inscription into Kharoshthi (a script derived from the army alphabet) and much more.

The exhibition, organized by the Art and Culture Development Foundation of Uzbekistan, presents 34 items from the Dalverzin treasure.
