The Special Representative of the President of Uzbekistan and the British Minister of the Armed Forces discuss regional security issues
The Special Representative of the President of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan, Ismatulla Irgashev, met with the British Minister of State for the Armed Forces, James Heappey.
According to Uzbekistan MFA, the parties discussed the current level of Uzbekistan-British cooperation and regional security issues, including the development of the situation in Afghanistan.
The British side highly appreciated the efforts of Uzbekistan to develop a consolidated regional position on Afghanistan, establish long-term peace and stability in the country, and provide humanitarian assistance to the Afghan people.
Readiness to continue to interact with Uzbekistan in the Afghan direction actively was also expressed.
