The Session of the World Health Assembly continues

As previously reported, on May 21, the 71st Session of the World Health Organization’s (WHO) World Health Assembly began. At the event in Geneva, the delegation of Uzbekistan led by the Minister of Health of Uzbekistan Alisher Shadmanov participates among representatives of 194 WHO member states.

As previously reported, on May 21, the 71st Session of the World Health Organization’s (WHO) World Health Assembly began. At the event in Geneva, the delegation of Uzbekistan led by the Minister of Health of Uzbekistan Alisher Shadmanov participates among representatives of 194 WHO member states.

Global health problems and their solutions are discussed at the annual meeting of the World Health Assembly in Geneva. At the current session, reports are heard on the impact of the environment on human health, the road map on reducing this phenomenon, providing drugs and vaccines, preventing noncommunicable diseases, protecting health of women, children and adolescents.

Minister of Health of Uzbekistan Alisher Shadmanov addressed the 71st session of the World Health Assembly. He talked about reforms in the healthcare sphere under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the program for development of the system and main tasks defined in it.

According to the Information Service of the Ministry of Health, A. Shadmanov acquainted the participants of the session with the results in the field of immunoprophylaxis and development of private sector in the country. As well as, in his report, the Minister presented the Concept of Development of the Healthcare System of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2019-2029 and tasks defined therein.

The 71st session of the World Health Assembly will continue until May 26 this year.
