A professional security system for large-scale events was introduced for rapid response during the SCO Summit in Samarkand.
Previously, the Samarkand radio network had limited coverage, and employees of different agencies were unable to communicate. This reduced the efficiency of their daily work and emergency response.
The modernization of the security system of Samarkand was carried out by China’s Hytera Communications Corporation Limited and O’zelektroapparat-Electroshield JSC. Hytera is a provider of communication solutions for the SCO Summit in Dushanbe in 2021, the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi (2014) and Beijing (2022), the G20 Summit in Hangzhou and others.
Employees of responsible agencies received several thousand DMR radio stations, sets of base stations, several hundred video recorders, as well as a dispatching system and other devices for operational and emergency communication. The new equipment is compatible with existing analog radio stations, which allows for smoothly switching to the digital standard.
The communication system introduced on the eve of the SCO Summit will be used in the future for providing daily security in the city.
