The second working day of the third plenary session of the Global Forum on Human Rights Education in Samarkand has kicked off.
Stefania Giannini, UNESCO Assistant Director-General for Education, and Duarte Pacheco, President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union sent a video message to the participants. The Coordinator of the Bukharian Jewish Congress of USA and Canada, the Editor-in-Chief of the Bukharian Times newspaper Rafael Nektalov addressed the event.
At the second plenary session, the participants discussed a draft document aimed at popularizing the experience of young teachers dealing with human rights around the world.
The Samarkand Action Strategy for the Development of Human Rights Education, designed for 2023-2025, will be adopted at the fourth plenary session, based on the proposals and recommendations of the participants. The winners of the competition in human rights will be awarded badges “For Human Rights”.
Human Rights lessons will be held in legal education institutions of Uzbekistan, with the participation of leading professors on human rights from prestigious universities around the world.
