This was stated by the Deputy Director of the Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Mustafayev, during the 19th Session of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Forum chaired by Uzbekistan.

The ISRS representative noted, “Over the years, the SCO Forum has proved its relevance and effectiveness as an effective multilateral mechanism for expert dialogue”. The role of the SCO Forum is truly unique, as this platform acts as an idea generator”.

The annual SCO Forum has effectively positioned itself as a platform for the development of scientific approaches to political, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian cooperation in the SCO space.

According to the expert, “the presence of a communication channel between analytical structures allows for a “reconciliation of hours” on all important issues of mutual interest both within the framework of bilateral relations and through the SCO”.

To increase the Forum’s effectiveness, the importance of intensifying cooperation between analytical centers, identifying specific topics within the SCO for inclusion on the agenda, conducting joint research on current issues of SCO development, and considering the possibility of establishing a special fund to support scientific activities was emphasized.
