On February 23, at a meeting held by the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation I. Abdurakhmonov with the participation of the heads of higher education institutions of the regions of the country, faculty and students, a 4th-year student of the Faculty of Russian Language and Literature of Karshi State University Sh. Nazarova proposed to organize a Russian Language Center at the University, which would bring together students who are fluent in Russian.

With the support of the minister and the efforts of the University leadership, a plan and program for the center were developed, and the estimate was approved. The center, funded by extra-budgetary funds of the University, began operating on April 10, 2023, in the building of the Faculty of Philology. 

According to the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, now university students who want to learn Russian have the opportunity to participate in free training courses at the center.
