The roots of justice for us are common forever
12:31 / 2022-07-04

Uzbeks and Karakalpaks are the most ancient cultural nations in the world.

“The Father of History,” Herodotus wrote about them in his works, which at that time already glorified our peoples throughout the world. Those words still have not lost their strength and power, their deep essence. We are the roots of the same tree, the children of the same land, who have been drinking water from the same river for many centuries, building our common country together, contributing to its well-being and prosperity.

Our roots are intertwined forever. This is where the strength and happiness of our people lie. We all live under one peaceful sky, sharing love. And we created history together, emerged victorious from the most terrible battles, together drove out the fiercest enemies from our beloved common Motherland, cherished it like the apple of an eye. Now I would like to pass it on to our children safe and sound, along with strong friendship ties.

My Karakalpak brother! Your dreams, your art, your poetry – all of this is of the highest value to me. We immensely value our friendship with you, dear brothers, we cherish it. People who respect each other, and honor national traditions, will never deviate from the right path.

My native, friendly Karakalpak people! Your words praising friendship are always in my heart and the heart of every Uzbek. We are bound by one faith, common customs, and traditions. This is our common land. This is our common Motherland. Here we live and develop, and raise children and grandchildren. And all of us – Karakalpaks and Uzbeks – have every right to do so.

Walking together along the path of our common history, now more than ever we feel the strength of our unity, friendship, mutual respect, and faith in a brighter future. And I believe that those troublemakers, intriguers, instigators, and international provocateurs who want to sow discord between our peoples will not be able to achieve their goal.

Despite their slander and efforts, we are still together, together forever. No force could break the friendship of the two fraternal peoples. Troublemakers and instigators want bloodshed and victims. For the sake of their dirty goals, they are ready to sacrifice the lives of innocent people. But I am sure that they will never be able to carry out their intentions. History shows that all the efforts of such people are nothing more than a fantasy of a sick imagination.

After all, it was announced that the draft amendments to the Basic Law were submitted for general, nationwide discussion. So offer your initiatives, and join the discussion. Contribute to the enrichment of our Constitution and laws with new meaning and content.

After all, truth is born in fair disputes. Now it is about maintaining common sense, self-control, and courage. This is our strength and power! The intensity of passion, and raising a fuss in a peaceful country will never lead to a good goal.

We – Uzbeks and Karakalpaks – are always together! This unity is a priceless inheritance, we inherited from our ancestors. Our common history, common destiny and common future oblige us to do this!

Ibrahim Gafurov,

Hero of Uzbekistan.
