The International Conference “The role of the quality of education in the economic transformation of society” was held at Tashkent State University of Economics.

The event was organized to consistently continue the work on improving the system of higher education and applying world best practices in this area.

It was attended by international experts from more than 30 countries, heads of internationally recognized rating organizations, local public and private higher education institutions, senior officials of embassies, and representative offices of foreign states in Uzbekistan.

The conference was opened by the State Advisor to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Odil Abdurakhmanov.

Presentations of international experts from the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Canada, Japan, Singapore, Finland, Belgium, Austria, Germany, and other countries were heard.

The participants discussed relevant issues aimed at ensuring the quality of education in higher education institutions based on international standards and norms, the transformation of their activities according to the concept of “University 4.0”, phased international institutional accreditation of academic areas and specialties. Recommendations for training competitive specialists have been developed. The participants exchanged views and shared their experiences. The issues of international accreditation of higher education institutions and the digitalization of educational processes were considered.
