The National Media Association of Uzbekistan held an international conference on “The role of national content on radio”, dedicated to World Radio Day.
The event was attended by senior officials of central and regional radio channels, media, local and foreign experts.

As noted, the radio, invented 100 years ago, has been improved for many years thanks to the development of science and technology, the expansion of technological capabilities, and discoveries.
As is known, in the last months of 2011, representatives of UNESCO member states agreed to celebrate World Radio Day on February 13 each year. In accordance with the adopted resolution of the UNESCO General Conference, this holiday was celebrated for the first time on February 13, 2012.

Now, radio is a part of people’s daily lives, so the issue of preparing national content on radio is more relevant than ever.
Presentations of new radio projects were also organized during the event.
