Tashkent hosted the two-day Third International Conference on “The role of gender balance in business. A gender-oriented employer”.

The event, organized jointly with the Confederation of Employers of Uzbekistan and the Uzbekistan Textile and Garment Industry Association, was attended by domestic and foreign experts.

The event aims to discuss the current state of gender policy in the business environment and develop specific proposals and recommendations to improve working conditions, taking into account gender equality.

It was emphasized that legal norms result in the provision of necessary consultations and practical assistance to businesswomen and women who have expressed a desire to do business.

The participants exchanged experiences in gender balance and inclusivity, strengthened cooperation in gender policy, and considered prospects for sustainable business development in Uzbekistan.

Following the event, a common document on cooperation was adopted, reflecting the main commitments and directions of future activities of all stakeholders to ensure gender equality in employment.
