The role of Babur’s legacy in ensuring interethnic harmony

The invaluable scientific and creative legacy of Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur has a special place not only in the formation of the national culture and literary and aesthetic thinking of people, but also in the history of world literature, science, and public administration.

These aspects were emphasized during the roundtable discussion on “The role of the legacy of Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur in ensuring interethnic harmony”, held at the Committee on Interethnic Relations and Friendly Ties with Foreign Countries under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The event was attended by representatives of the Committee, scientists, chairpersons of national cultural centers, students of Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature named after Alisher Navoi.

Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Interethnic Relations and Friendly Ties with Foreign Countries Azamat Toshev, Chairman of the Republican Azerbaijan National Cultural Center Mobil Mamedov, and others spoke in detail about the unique poetry of Babur, his works telling about the way of life of the peoples of the East, their traditions, customs, character, and values calling people to excellence. It was noted that these works are essential in educating the younger generation in the spirit of love for the Motherland and loyalty to our independence.

The study of Babur’s creative heritage, perpetuation of his memory, propaganda, and promotion of noble ideas glorified in his works have always been important.

At the meeting, participants learned new information about the life and work of Babur and listened to reports on the history, culture, and ethnography of various peoples based on the works of the just ruler and the great poet.

The participants discussed the role of national and universal ideas in world civilization, described in the works of Babur, the importance of increasing the intellectual potential of the younger generation and nurturing high moral qualities.
