On the eve of the 33rd anniversary of Uzbekistan’s independence, the reconstruction of the Pungan-Namangan highway began.

In this regard, the heads of the region’s sectors, foreign investors, district activists, and representatives of the general public took part in the ceremonial event held in Pap district.

The 4P-112 highway, 75 kilometers long, will be reconstructed. The world-famous Citic Construction company from the People’s Republic of China carries out the construction work.

At the event, the Hokim of Namangan region Shavkat Abdurazakov emphasized the importance of the highway in the region’s life and noted that thanks to the support and attention of the Head of state, the long-standing problem of the population is being solved, and the dream of the region’s residents is coming true.

It was noted that the friendly relations between the leaders of Uzbekistan and China are an important factor in further strengthening cooperation and implementing such large-scale projects.

The aksakals who spoke at the event expressed gratitude to the government for significant changes and efforts towards the development of the country and the well-being of the people.
