Samarkand hosted a roundtable discussion on “Reforms aimed at strengthening judicial protection of rights and legitimate interests of Uzbekistan’s entrepreneurs”.

Judges and senior officials of the Supreme Court, representatives of the prosecutor’s office, courts, justice bodies, customs and tax services, commercial banks of Samarkand region, regional offices of the Chamber of Advocates and Chamber of Commerce and Industry, entrepreneurs attended the event organized by the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan jointly with the OSCE Project Coordinator in the country.

Speakers expressed their suggestions on improving judicial practice on resolving economic disputes arising between business entities, expanding participation of lawyers in defending the interests of entrepreneurs in courts, applying tax and customs incentives, implementing practical measures in the sphere of financial support for entrepreneurs.
