The rights, freedoms and legitimate interests of youth are fully supported
20:45 / 2022-06-25

Over the past short period, the political, legal, socio-economic, cultural and educational image of our society has changed radically.

The purpose of today’s reforms in all spheres and sectors is to improve the welfare of the population, to create decent living conditions for them.

The organizational and legal basis for the comprehensive support of the youth of our country, the protection of their rights and freedoms, opportunities and interests is being improved.

At the meeting with members of the Constitutional Commission, the President emphasized that the updated Constitution should create a solid legal basis and a reliable guarantee of long-term development strategies for our country, the future prosperity of the state and people.

In his speech, the Head of the state focused on four priorities for improving the Constitution based on the wishes of the general public. Undoubtedly, these proposals and initiatives put forward taking into account the needs of society will serve as a consistent continuation of the reforms carried out based on the principle “person – society – state”, the full implementation of the noble idea “for human dignity”.

It is known that recently the country has paid great attention to popularizing sports and a healthy lifestyle among the population, especially among young people. To enshrine this policy in the Constitution, it was proposed to include the following provision:

“The state creates the necessary conditions for the development of physical culture and sports, the education of youth as spiritually and morally mature people based on the principles of a healthy lifestyle”.

It is also proposed to introduce a paragraph stating that parents have the right and duty to take care of the upbringing, education, health, full and harmonious development of their children until they reach adulthood.

In a word, the proposed norms are important for educating the younger generation to be physically healthy, spiritually mature, modern-minded, living with a sense of involvement in the reform process in our country, striving to make a worthy contribution to its development.
