A meeting of the faction of the Democratic Party of Uzbekistan “Milliy Tiklanish” took place in the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis.

The importance of the historic speech of the President of Uzbekistan at the Meeting of the SCO Council of Heads of State was noted.

As the participants emphasized, the summit covered prospects for the further development of multilateral cooperation within the SCO and the improvement of the organization’s activities, and exchanged views on current regional and international issues.

During his visit to the People’s Republic of China, the President of Uzbekistan also held meetings with the heads of leading Chinese companies. The interest of Chinese businesses in Uzbekistan is growing every year. Today, the portfolio of Chinese investment projects in Uzbekistan exceeds $60 billion. Last year, the volume of investments exceeded $10 billion. It was emphasized that meetings with business representatives are essential for launching new production facilities.

At the next meeting of the faction, it is planned to consider the implementation of the state budget and the budgets of trust funds for the first half of 2025. In this regard, the deputies discussed the budget execution in advance and exchanged views on which points should be given attention based on the party’s ideas.

It was also noted that, thanks to measures implemented in the regions to increase employment and develop entrepreneurship, gross domestic product increased by 7.2 percent in the first half of this year.

Additionally, the faction’s members focused on issues of education and upbringing, including providing schools with textbooks and teaching aids. It was noted that significant activities had been carried out in this direction during the reporting period. Thus, 784.8 billion UZS were allocated for the purchase of textbooks, and 49.4 billion UZS for musical instruments.
