Foreign experts highly appreciated the initiatives of the President of Uzbekistan, announced at the Samarkand SCO Summit. In their opinion, the consolidated positions of the SCO member states on the most important regional and global issues were reflected in the Samarkand Declaration.
An International Conference “Samarkand SCO Summit: Contribution to regional and international security, sustainable development” kicked off in Tashkent on September 29.
The event is organized by the Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the International Institute for Central Asia, with the assistance of the Executive Committee of the Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure of the SCO.
The conference brought together more than 30 prominent representatives from the expert and analytical circles of the SCO member states, as well as several foreign countries, including the United States, Belgium, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Hungary and other countries.
The participants discussed the main results of the SCO Summit in Samarkand, including the significance of the event, as well as important initiatives put forward by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the sidelines of the event.
It was emphasized that the Samarkand Summit fully justified all the expectations. The large-scale work carried out by Uzbekistan during its chairmanship has received a worthy end. The Summit in Samarkand was one of the most important world political events.
During the discussions, the experts emphasized that the Samarkand site has become not only the venue for the SCO Summit, but also the most important bilateral and trilateral negotiations between heads of state and heads of international organizations.
The experts noted that the Summit made an important contribution to restoring confidence in the system of international relations and became a kind of starting point for launching a new stage of interstate and multilateral cooperation based on dialogue and mutual understanding.
Foreign experts highly appreciated the initiatives of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev voiced during the Summit.
According to them, these revolutionary ideas of the Leader of Uzbekistan can make a significant contribution to the creative and sustainable development in the SCO space and are designed to give a new round in further enhancing multifaceted cooperation between the member states of the Organization.
