The results of the association’s activities
Tashkent hosted the third republican reporting and election conference on the results of activities of the National Association of Non-Governmental Non-Profit Organizations of Uzbekistan in 2011-2017.
Tashkent hosted the third republican reporting and election conference on the results of activities of the National Association of Non-Governmental Non-Profit Organizations of Uzbekistan in 2011-2017.It was attended by delegates elected at territorial reporting and election conferences, members of the Parliamentary Commission for Managing the Funds of the Public Fund to Support Non-Governmental Non-profit Organizations and Other Civil Society Institutions under the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, representatives of non-governmental non-profit organizations, and journalists.
At the conference, information was provided on activities carried out by the National Association of Non-Governmental Non-Profit Organizations during the reporting period. In particular, the Association organized about a hundred meetings with representatives of foreign non-governmental organizations, held national and international events. In order to strengthen social partnership between the state bodies and NGOs, a system of holding national NGO forums has been introduced. As a result, more than 700 memorandums on social partnership were signed between the state bodies and NGOs.
At the conference, it was noted that in recent years the association effectively established mutually beneficial cooperation with international organizations. 43 projects worth $5 million were implemented in Uzbekistan with participation of 60 local NGOs together with the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Project Coordinator in Uzbekistan, the United Nations Development Program, the UNICEF office in Uzbekistan, the branch of the French Agency for Technical Cooperation and Development (ACTED) in Uzbekistan, the Friedrich Ebert Foundation (Germany).
At the conference, activities of the association were critically analyzed. It was emphasized that the work on training, retraining and advanced training of personnel in the sphere is not at the proper level, available opportunities are used inefficiently.
Organizational issues were also considered at the republican reporting and election conference. Ilkhom Nasriyev was elected Chairman of the Council of the National Association of Non-Governmental Non-Profit Organizations of Uzbekistan.
