As part of the Third International Bakhshi Art Festival in Gulistan, an International Scientific and Practical Conference on “Contemporary Art of Bakhshi: New Melodies of the Golden Heritage” took place.

The event was attended by leading experts from more than 30 countries, including Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Russia, Türkiye, Hungary, and the Republic of Korea.

Participants emphasized that the bakhshi art is important in developing the culture of the world's peoples. It serves as a bridge that unites representatives of different nationalities. It was also noted that bakhshis and poets are the bearers of this art and pass it on from one nation to another, from heart to heart.

At the event, folklorists working in various higher education institutions and research institutes of Uzbekistan and researchers interested in oral folk art made scientific reports related to this area.

A resolution aimed at further developing the art of bakhshi was adopted at the conference.
