The official dispatch of the first batch of Hyundai Rotem high-speed trains produced for Uzbekistan took place at the port of Masan in Changwon, Republic of Korea.

A delegation from Uzbekistan, led by Deputy Prime Minister Jamshid Khojayev, representatives of the Government of the Republic of Korea, and the Hyundai Rotem leadership attended the event.

The first composition of Uzbekistan’s new fleet of high-speed trains, named Jaloliddin Manguberdi, was manufactured under a contract signed between Uzbekistan Railways and Hyundai Rotem in June 2024.

The dispatch of the first trains marks a significant milestone in the modernization of Uzbekistan’s railway infrastructure and in strengthening bilateral cooperation with the Republic of Korea in transport technology.
