The referendum ballot paper was approved at the meeting of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

– According to Article 29 of the Law “On the referendum of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, the ballot for voting in the referendum includes the text specified in the resolutions of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan of March 10 and the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of March 14, 2023, and also provides two answers: “Yes” or “No”, Deputy Chairman of the Central Election Commission Bakhrom Kuchkorov said. – In addition, at the bottom of the ballot there will be an explanation of how to fill out the ballot. Braille stencils have been prepared for filling out ballots by blind voters. The ballots will be printed based on the information provided by district referendum commissions, taking into account the number of voters in the district, including the need to prepare ballots in the languages spoken by the majority of the population living in the territory of the referendum precinct.

At the meeting, measures were defined to transfer ballots to precinct commissions for holding a referendum within the established time frame. Along with this, the issue of accreditation of observers from foreign countries and international organizations, as well as media representatives participating in the referendum of the Republic of Uzbekistan was discussed.
