08:18 / 2022-02-04

A contract for the export of Uzbekistan’s dried fruits to the UK was signed at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in London.

According to the Embassy, Sofia Agro (Uzbekistan) and Brooks & Kempton (UK) have signed a contract for the supply of a trial batch of Uzbek prunes. It is noteworthy that this batch will become the first delivery of Uzbek prunes to the UK market.

In recent years, Uzbekistan's fruit and vegetable products have significantly expanded the geography of their exports. The high quality and taste properties of Uzbek dried fruits continue to attract the attention of foreign trading companies.

At the event, the Founder and CEO of Brooks & Kempton Karim Asaad noted that marketing and laboratory studies of Uzbek products showed high quality and taste characteristics of Uzbek dried fruits. According to him, he intends to establish regular deliveries and gradually expand the range of Uzbek products.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached on organizing a trip of a British entrepreneur to Uzbekistan to become familiar with the available opportunities to expand the range of exports of dried fruits from Uzbekistan to foreign countries.
