As part of the President’s trip to Bukhara region on August 10-11 this year, a new line of Qorakul Kumush Kalava textile factory was launched. At the enterprise specializing in producing semi-finished products, 320 people were employed.

Thanks to the opportunities created, the factory exports yarn abroad, producing silver thread by processing cotton fiber. Modern equipment was imported from China for the nearly $15 million project. It is planned to export products worth $9 million to European countries.

– When we started our business, we faced the question of how we would manage the textile cluster, – says Asror Mansurov, head of Qorakul Kumush Kalava LLC. – New opportunities and conditions created by the Head of our state, decrees, and resolutions he signed give us an incentive. Demand for our products is growing: long-term export agreements have been signed with Russia, China, and Türkiye. Residents of the district, especially women, are very pleased with the launch of the new project.

– I work as an operator in a weaving shop, – says Nilufar Aralova, an enterprise employee. My job is to check the quality of products. We work 8 hours a day. The company has created all conditions for us.

The President of Uzbekistan pays great attention to the activities of clusters. Thanks to this trust, the enterprise at the third stage plans to produce finished products, increase jobs, and, most importantly, double the export potential by creating competitive and high-quality clothing.

Almost ten such projects were launched during the President’s visit to Bukhara. The fact that thousands of residents are provided with jobs deserves attention.
