Special attention is paid in the country to issues of public health protection, the strengthening of the material and technical base of the health care system and the further raising the effectiveness of medical treatment. The declaration of this year in the country as the Year of Maternal and Child Health is also an indication of care being provided for the younger generation and public health.

People of Farghona Region are happy about the conditions and quality of medical services at 283 rural medical stations.

In accordance with the Year of Maternal and Child Health State programme, health weeks are being conducted under the slogan of “No one will be left without care and attention”. During these weeks, extended medical check-ups of the population, especially women, children and people of advanced age are conducted. Explanatory measures being taken in localities help to make sure that a healthy lifestyle takes hold. They also help to raise the population’s medical culture. Large-scale work in this area is also being conducted in Beshariq District.

“Special attention being paid to health care, including the development of primary medical care, is giving its high results. As part of Health projects, 22 rural medical stations functioning in our district were provided with modern medical equipment,” says the head of the Beshariq District medical association, A.Tokhtaqulov.

In line with the principle “healthy mothers – healthy children”, the tasks of further improving the country’s system of family health, motherhood and childhood protection and the provision of more attention to socially vulnerable families are defined as priorities. The scale of work being carried out in this area in villages is growing. A list of more than 50 thousand women of fertile age has been drawn up, and their health is under constant monitoring.

The “Toshariq” rural medical station provides services for 7 thousand people.

“Our station is provided with modern equipment as part of the Health-2 project. There are all the necessary conditions for giving qualified medical aid to rural inhabitants. Medical workers are visiting homes to hold various conversations on the subject of the strengthening of reproductive health, the maintenance of a healthy lifestyle and the raising of medical culture. Women of fertile age have gone through extended medical check-ups,” says the chairwoman of the “Toshariq” rural medical station, D.Aliyeva.

In all the rural medical stations of the district, quality medical services are provided, which strengthens the population’s trust in primary medical care from the system of health care and helps to prevent illnesses and to raise the population’s medical culture.
