The Asian Development Bank has allocated a $100 million soft loan for the development and strengthening of STEM education in Uzbekistan.

As part of the project, it is planned to equip modern laboratories in 200 secondary schools, create an information and communication technology infrastructure, install solar energy systems, and create the necessary conditions for children with disabilities.

It is also planned to train and retrain teachers in STEM subjects, create an integrated subject-teaching system, widely use advanced pedagogical technologies in the educational process, implement an innovative approach through the complete modernization of the academic environment, the introduction of educational quality standards, and the strengthening of subject relationships.

The main goal of the project is to provide the youth of Uzbekistan with modern, innovative knowledge and skills, increase their competitiveness, and contribute to the country’s sustainable economic development. By bringing school education closer to international standards, we will significantly improve its quality and effectiveness. Qualified teachers and modern laboratories will enhance the effectiveness of the educational process.
