The President of Uzbekistan to attend the “European Union – Central Asia” Summit

This has been announced at today’s briefing by Presidential Press Secretary Sherzod Asadov.

It was noted that the work schedule of the Head of the state this week will be very busy, several meetings, discussions, and visits will take place.

Today in the first half of the day the President met with the Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia Denis Manturov.

The President will also receive the President of the European Council Charles Michel. The agenda of the meeting will include a discussion of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the European Union in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres, as well as an exchange of views on the current regional and international issues.

The issue of organizing meetings with the heads of several foreign delegations is currently being worked out.

On October 27, the Head of the state will visit Kazakhstan’s Astana to attend the “European Union – Central Asia” Summit.

Starting this week, the leaders of the regions will begin to report to the President on the ongoing activities in terms of socio-economic development.

It is also planned to discuss current and future priorities in the healthcare system.
