The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev was welcomed at the official residence in Islamabad by the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Ishaq Dar.

At the meeting held there, Ishaq Dar briefed the Leader of Uzbekistan on the extensive agenda of the planned bilateral events.

The President of Uzbekistan particularly noted the minister’s significant contribution to organizing the current state visit.

Confidence was expressed that the upcoming high-level talks and the first meeting of the Strategic Cooperation Council, to be held as part of the visit, would enrich the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Pakistan with new practical substance.
