The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, departed for this country on a state visit on August 7.

In the city of Astana, the leaders of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan will hold the first meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council.

The President of Uzbekistan is also envisaged to participate in the next Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and the First “Central Asia + Japan” Dialogue.
