At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev departed for Azerbaijan on October 6 for a working visit.

The Head of State will take part in the main events of the upcoming summit of the Organization of Turkic States, to be held in the city of Gabala.

The meeting’s agenda, held under the theme “Regional Peace and Security”, includes issues related to the deepening of multilateral cooperation in priority areas.

Following the summit, several documents will be adopted to expand practical cooperation among the member countries of the Organization.
