The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Chairman and CEO of the Turkish company Aksa Energy Cemil Kazancı.

The issues of developing mutually beneficial cooperation with this company and its plans for participation in projects for the expansion and technological modernization of the energy sector of Uzbekistan were discussed.

The President of Uzbekistan noted with satisfaction the fruitful activities of the Turkish company in the country, together with which projects for constructing modern power plants in Tashkent and Bukhara regions with a total capacity of 740 megawatts were successfully implemented. Today, a ceremony was held to launch a new power plant with a capacity of 400 megawatts in Nishan district of Kashkadarya region.

Promising projects in green energy were discussed, including the modernization of gas distribution systems, the construction of biogas stations, sustainable energy supply to industrial zones, and others in accordance with the bilateral roadmap.
